MDL’s Hamble Marinas – your gateway to the Solent…
Europe’s leading marina operator, MDL Marinas, operates three 5 star Gold Anchor award-winning marinas on the River Hamble – Hamble Point Marina, Port Hamble Marina and Mercury Yacht Harbour. Offering easy access to the world famous waters of the Solent, all three marinas enjoy idyllic surroundings and are situated at the heart of the South Coast’s sailing scene.
Hamble is a picturesque destination, which is ideal for anyone wanting to discover some of Hampshire’s best coastline and countryside. With superb riverside views, Hamble village and its quaint surroundings offers a beautiful dining and leisure experience.
Hamble is steeped in history – the village played a role in the World War II D-Day landings, as well as being the original home of the aircraft training centre for iconic planes including the Spitfire and Lancaster.
You can sit and watch boats cruise along the river from one of its many pubs and restaurants, which serve up a delicacy of local delights, including the Ketch Rigger at Hamble Point Marina, the renowned Banana Wharf at Port Hamble, or the Water’s Edge at Mercury Yacht Harbour. It’s also the perfect place to spot a number of prestigious yachts and cruise ships as they sail along the Solent.
The nearby villages of Netley Abbey and Warsash offer plenty to do with an array of local shops and cafes, as well as the Royal Victoria Country Park, Manor Farm Country Park and the River Hamble itself – each offering a unique way of enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
The River Hamble is a hive of activity and there’s always plenty going on, with fleets of racers out every weekend during the summer, particularly when events such as Round the Island and Cowes Week take place. Throughout autumn, many hardy sailors also participate in the Hamble Winter Series. There’s a real buzz at the marinas on the weekends, as members enjoy social events together before and after each race.
